WordPress gives you the power to create fully featured websites for any industry. And that is largely possible thanks to the multi-purpose themes like H-Code. You can use H-Code to create corporate, travel, restaurant, photography, spa, fashion, architecture, portfolio, wedding, and any other type of website.
In today’s post, I will explore the various features of H-Code and find out why it’s an excellent choice for you. By the end of this review, you will have a clear idea about the important features of H-Code and how you can use these for your benefit.
Installing The H-Code
H-Code requires some plugin to work properly. Once you install and activate the theme, you will be asked to install these plugins. Most of these come with the theme package. You can install the other plugins from the plugin directory. Your theme is ready as soon as you activate the required plugins.
H-Code Theme Design
When using H-Code, you will never be out of options because the theme developers have carefully created more than 45+ attractive demos. You can choose any of these designs to start your website.
It is also possible to create one-page websites with H-Code. The theme supports mega menu, which means you can include all the navigation links you want.
Depending on your website type, you can choose different sections to put on the home page. For instance, if you are developing a company, business, or corporate website, you can highlight your services, business numbers, portfolio, team, latest blog posts, etc. H-Code comes with stunning parallax effects. You can use these effects to draw the attention of your visitors.
Exploring the demos will provide you more ideas about how to use the design options according to your website type.
Lot of Theme Options
H-Code is provided with a wide range of customization options. You will find these options at the Appearance -> Theme Settings page. The page looks like the following –
The settings options are available in several sections. I will introduce you to the necessary features from each section.
There is a handy feature to enable an under construction feature. This will make the site visible to the logged in administrator(s) only. Below, you will find more options to provide custom CSS, tracking code, and upload the favicon.
The first option allows you to enable or disable the header. Then, there are eight header styles for you to choose from. In the ‘Logo Settings‘ area, you can upload the regular logo along with the retina and light logos. The last two options allow you to enable or disable the search and cart modules.
There is only one option in this section. The option enables you to choose the menu for the header section.
# Page Title
If you want to allow page title, you can do this from this section. It is also possible to choose the title style, enable breadcrumb, and enable separator for the title.
This section includes options to set up various pages. First of all, you will find options to define the under construction page. Then, you can choose to enable or disable comments on posts, pages, or portfolio sections.
Lastly, there is a dedicated section for customizing the 404 page. You can provide the title, description, background image, and add a custom button to the page.
# Font Settings
As you can guess, this section enables you to define the font options. You can choose the default font family and font size for various sections like body, header, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, title, subtitle, breadcrumb, etc.
# Color Settings
The first two options on this page enable you to choose the background for the site and the header. Then, in the ‘Text Color‘ option, you can choose the color for the body, link, heading, icon text, breadcrumb, etc.
# Layout Settings
H-Code comes with several layouts. You can choose any of the four available layouts. Below, there are more options to choose the layout for the single post, custom post, portfolio, page, etc. For single posts, you can enable related posts, navigation, author box, social icons, etc.
The last area includes options to customize the header. Along with the header style, you can choose the header text color, logo, modules, etc.
# Social Sharing Links
This section includes the options to display the social sharing links on your blogs posts and product pages. The available options include Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.

In case you want to use a footer wrapper, you need to enable that from this section. You can choose the icons for phone, map, email and define the values for these fields.
And this section is for selecting footer options. It is possible to display up to four widgets in the footer. Other available options include enabling footer menu, logo, social icons, copyright text, scroll to top button, etc.
This section allows you to import content from another website. It is also possible to export the settings of your current website.
Replicating the Demos
H-Code comes with several attractive demo designs with over 190 ready-to-use layouts.
If you are confused about the design or don’t have the time to create a site from scratch, you can choose any of these demos to get started within a few minutes. The demos come with lots of posts, pages, widgets, images, theme options settings, etc.
To import a demo, go to Appearance -> Theme Settings and head towards the ‘Import/Export‘ section. Click the ‘Import Demo Data‘ button. This will start the import process.
You have to install the slider settings separately. To do that, download the settings from this page. Get back to your dashboard. Go to Slider Revolution -> Slider Revolution. Click on the ‘Import Slider‘ section and upload the settings file you just downloaded.
Coming Soon and Maintenance Modes
When you are developing the site or performing some routine maintenance, your website should not be visible to the visitors. The coming soon and maintenance modes will be useful in those instances. H-code comes with both of these features. The demos include ready-made pages for these purposes.
To set the coming soon mode, go to Settings -> Reading from the dashboard. Set a static page as the front page. You can choose any of these two pages –
- Home – coming soon
- Home – coming soon (videos)
To set the maintenance mode, go to Appearance -> Theme Settings. In the ‘General‘ section, enable under construction. Next, go to ‘Page/Template‘. In the ‘Under Construction Page,’ choose a page which the visitors will see.
Creating an E-commerce Site
H-Code is fully compatible with WooCommerce. Therefore, you can integrate an online shop in your website or create a fully featured e-commerce site. The theme comes with professionally designed templates for basic pages like the product, category, cart, checkout, etc.
The available products could be displayed in list or grid style. The built-in product filtering system will be very useful for the customers. They can filter the products by using various filters like size, color, price, etc. Customers can preview their shopping cart by hovering over the cart icon.
What Other Features are there?
H-Code comes with so many features that are almost impossible to cover in one review. However, I will try to go through the other notable features in short.
First of all, the theme comes with a large number of shortcodes. These shortcodes make it very easy to add custom elements like tabs, text block, row, column, counter, portfolio, parallax, accordion, button, popup, divider, separator, video, etc.
Depending on the shortcode, it is possible to customize the text, color, background, border, etc.
The theme package includes several premium plugins including Visual Composer and Slider Revolution. Therefore, you can create custom layouts for your posts or pages and integrate beautiful slideshows into the layouts. It also works with all the popular plugins.
For those who are concerned about the loading speed, H-Code has got you covered as well. Thanks to the speed-optimized coding, the theme secured impressive scores in the Pingdom test, web page test, and Google’s mobile-friendly test. It is also capable of supporting your SEO campaigns.
H-Code is fully compatible with WPML, which means you can use this theme to create websites in other languages too. Thanks to the responsive design, your site will look great on any device.
And if you are feeling confused about all these options, the detailed documentation will be very useful for you. There are also some video tutorials to help you with the necessary tasks.
Theme Pricing & License
H-Code is priced at $60, which includes the theme package files, all future updates, and six months of support from the theme developer. You can extend the support for 12 months by paying $18.
Our Final Opinion
There are hundreds of multi-purpose themes out there, but not all of them are up to the mark. In my opinion, H-Code is an exception here. The huge number of demos, an incredible amount of customization features, and optimizing coding make it one of the best multi-purpose themes ever created.
So, what do you think about H-Code? Does it look like an interesting one to try on your next project? Let me know in the comments.
