Configuring Brando Theme Settings

The settings options are located at the Appearance -> Theme Settings page. The available options are divided into several sections.

# General

This section includes the basic settings for your website. For instance, you can enable the under construction mode, add custom sidebars, and apply custom CSS from the first three options. Then, in the ‘Favicon Settings‘ area, you can provide favicons for regular and retina screens. ‘Post Default Image Settings‘ allows you to set a default image to be used as the featured image of your posts.

# Header

Here, you can choose to enable or disable the header. If you enable it, you will find several customization options below. You can choose any of the seven header styles and custom header text colors. Below, there are separate options to upload logos for regular and retina screens. It is also possible to define a URL for the logo. Lastly, you can choose a sidebar for the header.

If you want to enable page title for your website, you can do that from this section. It is also possible to provide a subtitle, choose a title background image, and add a parallax effect for the title section.

# Page/Template

As the name suggests, this section includes various options related to the pages. First of all, if you have enabled the under construction mode, you can choose the page. Then, you can allow comments for the posts, page, and portfolio items.

Lastly, there is a dedicated section for customizing your 404 page. You can choose the title, content, background image, 404 background image, etc. It is possible to add a button with custom URL and text to the 404 page.

# Font Settings

This is the section for choosing the fonts for your website. You can choose a main and an alternative font. In the ‘Font Size‘ area, you can choose the font size and line height for various sections like the body font, header, H1 to H6, title, small, medium, large, extra-large text font sizes, etc.

This section is divided into three areas. The ‘Background Color‘ area includes options to choose the body background and the background colors for another theme presets. In the ‘Header Color‘ area, you will find options to choose the background for various header styles. And the colors for body, link, link hover, icon, etc. could be set for the ‘Text Color‘ area.

# Layout Settings

In this section, you can choose the basic website design, enable fluid container and breadcrumb. If you want to apply a background image to your site, you can do that from the ‘Body Background‘ area.

Below, you will find lots of other options to customize the layouts for your posts, pages, custom posts, portfolio items, category, header, etc.

# Social Sharing

There are some more customization options at the Appearance -> Customize page. Among them, ‘Site Identity‘ section includes the usual options like the site title, tagline, and icon. In ‘Colors‘, you can choose the background color and header text color.

You can choose the sidebar widgets from the ‘Widgets‘ section. Brando comes with several custom widgets. And lastly, the ‘Static Front Page‘ section allows you to choose a dedicated front page for your website.
